i love photographing water sprays...  eventually i hope to get better at capturing them.

anyway, bitty got to practice her new walking skillz at the garden on her 10-month birthday (8/2) with her brothers and friends.

B and mischief even cleaned the place up a little before we headed home...

picnic

the local Panera market held an employee picnic over two days at Pocahontas State Park.  we went during the second day (7/28), enjoying burgers and dogs before heading over to the water park area.  we had never been to pool part before, and it was a lot of fun!

after we headed back to the shelter, the kids enjoyed some water balloons, hide & seek and bubble fun...

we found a crushed bird's egg on the deck.  i, of course, had to examine it more closely, and the boys were fascinated.

the boys decided that the baby bird was named "Gary", and that he would have been the best bird ever if he had survived.  we buried him next to a lavender plant.

our neighbor is a realtor, and dropped off a few balloons she had left from an open house...  the boys were very excited, and played with them even after they'd started to droop the following day.

and after snapping this, i tried to smoosh that visitor...  she fell into the grass and disappeared, leaving me scared to go outside for the rest of the day lest one pissed off spider had it out for me.  yeah, i'm a little irrational when it comes to my arachnophobia, especially when the arachnid really is one that can hurt me.

monkeys' uncle

as i mentioned, my brother-in-law brought us a new computer.  i'm still learning how to process my pictures on a mac after having been so used to my PC program (which is taking so long since it's hard to play while NAK, which tends to be the only way i can even sit at the computer lately).

anyway, the kids love their uncle los...
